At Quirky, we built Wink from the ground up and understood the importance of a powerful advertising campaign to introduce it to the market. To achieve this, we partnered with R/GA and Partners & Spade, experts in launching new ventures and creating captivating marketing strategies. We aimed to resonate with audiences by showcasing authentic human experiences, not overwhelming them with complex technology. We aimed to provide an educational guide highlighting real-life stories of how Wink enhances daily life.

Real Wink Users. Real Wink Stories.
Our launch campaign comprised four TV spots that showcased real and extraordinary stories. People from various backgrounds and lifestyles across the country are embracing the smart home trend by incorporating Wink into their daily lives. These early adopters, ranging from city dwellers to retirees, are using Wink to establish deeper connections with the products they depend on, fostering a stronger bond.
Wink.com
In collaboration with R/GA, we developed the ultimate smart home platform—a comprehensive destination for building your connected home. It seamlessly integrates an online shop, offering a diverse range of products from various brands, along with an educational guide. The guide features compelling stories of real individuals using Wink to enhance their everyday lives, serving as a source of inspiration and knowledge.
ROBOT BUTLER
We also created a viral campaign alongside our serious initiatives, playfully mocking the overly hyped vision of a robot-dominated future. In reality, robots can be intrusive, incompatible, and just plain awkward. Wink, on the other hand, presents a smart home experience that is accessible and enjoyable in the present. Working closely with Partners & Spade, our in-house video and marketing team at Quirky brought this campaign to life.
ROBOT BUTLER INC.
A mysterious new company emerged on the tech scene: Robot Butler Inc. They announced their arrival with an enticing teaser clip and the promise of a fully autonomous robot that’ll cater to your every whim: The next day, empty Robot Butler boxes appeared on street corners in major cities around the country, further stoking speculation. But the buzz really reached a fever pitch when Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart posted photos of their own Robot Butlers.
